Lydia Mae "Tootsie" Dalton passed away on Wednesday December 28, 2011. Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Eddie Youngblood, her brothers, Bud and Earl Youngblood, her sister, Nora "Bouncer" McCraw, her half-sisters, Mildred "Dink" Shannon and Helen McGraw, her daughter, Iris "Diddle" Dalton and her granddaughter, Amber McNeely. She is survived by her husband, Eli Dalton; her sons Dwight& fiancee Loretta and Davey& wife Kathy and daughter Lisa Taylor& husband Mike; six grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, four step grandchildren and five step great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday December 31, 2011 at the Chapel In The Pines of Jackson Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Katalee Foshee Metcalf, 84, of Hendersonville, N.C., died Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Park Ridge Hospital after battling a long illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Metcalf, a brother Johnny Bill Foshee of Greeneville, Tenn., a sister Sue Ellen Lewis of Greeneville Tenn., and a sister Gladys Cutshaw of Hendersonville, N.C. She is survived in Greeneville, Tenn., by brothers, Leland "Buck" Milligan, and Leroy& Clarine Foshee, and a sister Mary Ruth Woods of Barstow, Calif., and very best friend Roseanna Sandoval of Hendersonville, N.C. Additional survivors include: her son: Mike and Sherry Metcalf of Horseshoe, N.C.; six daughters: Linda and Joe Krawiec of Dana, N.C., Kathy Kilpatrick of Hendersonville, N.C., Joyce and Vince Ventura of Lisle, III, Sharen and Rick Cobb of Cottondale, Fla., Karen Metcalf and Cheryl Demag, both of Fletcher, N.C., 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. Mary Doris Waldrop, 77, of Hendersonville went to be with her Lord on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Hendersonville Health and Rehabilitation, following a period of declining health. A native and lifelong resident of Henderson County, she was the daughter of the late James and Bessie Tankersley Heatherly. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Horace Jessie Waldrop; son, Horace Steven Waldrop of Hendersonville; daughter, Norma W. Sproles and husband, Chuck, of Flat Rock; five grandchildren, Jacob and Nicholas Waldrop and Spencer, Brently, and Cameron Sproles; brother, Lum Heatherly of Hendersonville; special friend and confidant, Emma Lou Justice of Hendersonville; and several nieces and nephews, whom she loved very much. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Mud Creek Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Irene Pace, Lois Case- Pace, Doris Pace-Station, Betty Joe Pace- Worley and brothers, Raymond Pace and Glenn Pace. He is survived by sister, Medena Mecum of Kurnsville, NC; brother, Billy Pace, and wife Madge, of Flat Rock; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Mountain Page Baptist Church Cemetery. Richard W. Anderson, 77, of Hendersonville died Wednesday, December 28, 2011, at Pardee Memorial Hospital. He was born in St. Louis, Mo., on November 4, 1934, to Willard and Ruth Ghormley Anderson. He is also preceded in death by a son, Richard Anderson, and older brothers David and William Anderson of St. Louis. Richard is survived by his daughter, Christine Stolz of Columbus, Ohio; a brother, Gilbert Anderson of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and a sister, Sara Levins of St. Louis. No funeral service is planned.
