What is a podcast?
A podcast is a type of digital media, normally audio, which can be subscribed to and downloaded or streamed on a mobile device or computer. In the case of WGCR, it consists of some of our broadcasts of which we produce in house or is produced and added by a broadcaster. These broadcasts are then delivered to your device and either manually or automatically downloaded/streamed on the device. The best part is that this is a FREE service allowing you to listen to your favorite broadcasts at your own convenience.
On what can I receive the podcast?
Many devices, including computers, are able to receive podcasts. Most Apple devices, such as, iPad, iPhone, iPod and AppleTV can receive Podcasts. Many smartphones, such as Android, Windows, and Blackberry devices can also receive podcasts. Look at the device manual to see if your device can receive podcasts.
How do I receive podcasts?
Four things are needed to start receiving podcasts. Most of these you probably already have if you are reading this article.
The Device- As listed above.
Podcast Reader- There are different apps for different devices. Research your device to find out which postaster is best for you.
Internet Access- Please note, standard data rates will apply from your internet provider.
Podcast Link- This can be found by clicking on the podcast link located on our website for the appropriate podcast. Depending on your device and podcast reader, it may automatically ask if you want to open that URL in the correct program.
